Caroline's room at the Thornrose House

We loved the hospitality of the innkeepers and the inn is a beautiful place. My husband and I checked in on a Friday night in early April 2005. We knew nothing of the inn's reputation of being haunted and we were staying in Caroline's room. The first night we did not really notice anything, although I think I tend to be psychically sensitive. When I would get up during the night to go to the bathroom the first night I would not walk around the bed but would crawl over my husband. I've never done this before. The following night my husband and I were sitting on the bed and I sensed a presence in the corner of the room. I did not see anything with my eyes but saw a vision in my mind of a woman dressed in a white dress with dark hair pinned up in a bun. She was, in my mind pacing back and forth between the corner of the room and the window wringing her hands. I told my husband when we were sitting on the bed that I felt this impression. I was a little un-nerv!
ed and every time I came out of the bathroom would refuse to look in the corner of the room. I've never seen a ghost before, nor sensed one so strongly. We did not know anything of the room or the fact that things had happened in this room in the past. In the morning I asked the innkeepers about the history of the place during breakfast and the fact that the room we were in was noted to be haunted came up. I knew it was a lady because I saw the vision in my mind. My husband was utterly shocked!!
