La Posada Hotel Elevator Shaft

I stayed at the La Posada in Albuquerque, NM in July of 2004. I specifically stayed there due to stories of hauntings. The staff related the story about a woman who fell down the elevator shaft and is sometimes heard as well as seen around the elevators and/or lobby area.

While I saw nothing during my 2-day stay, I was bothered by someone tapping on my room door. When I would open the door, no one was there or in the hallway. Staff told me I was virtually alone on that floor. I found it interesting and didn't feel so much alone knowing someone was walking the hallways.

The hotel is rich in history, as is that area in Albuquerque. The lobby area is one of the prettiest and well refurbished I have visited. I recommend La Posada to others and hope to one day quietly sit in the lobby and people/spirit watch.

Were you scared when it happened? I know I would be.

We have received a photo from an individual who is working in the hotel and it actually shows a little girl on the 2nd floor near the elevator. We were so intrigued by this photograph that we decided to do some research and only found your posting. Do you have any other information?
