For Ross Lake - Whitney Lakes Provincial Park: Do not camp at Whitney state park
Most horrible experience of my life. We take our kids camping every summer. So much my daughter said she wants to go camping for her birthday.
Park ranger went through our tent when we were gone. I know this bc my friend saw him when we got back the tent was open. And when we confronted him he got an attitude right away.
Also arrested our friemd for having an owl claw hanging from his mirror. That claw has been there for years.
We left of course n when we demanded our money back (for that night and the next day) more attitude. Had to fight for it. Totally ruined my daughter's day. Tears, disappoinment, the works. Do not go to Whitney state park to camp. Wait of money anyways.
Will never returne.

For Ross Lake - Whitney Lakes Provincial Park: We decided to camp at Ross Lake on a whim, didn't really have a reason to travel here, just thought we'd try it out. We are so glad that we did! The campground is probably one of the best that we have ever been to. Each site is isolated from adjacent site, you never have anyone commenting on how to BBQ that steak or roast that marshmallow. The toilets within each loop are pit toilets, that being said they are clean, smell fresh, and well maintained. The shower building serves all 149 sites. The showers are clean, spacious, and while we were camping never busy. The showers charge $ 1.00 for 2.5 minutes of very hot water.
Quiet times are strictly adhered to. The majority of the campground is by reservation only. This is the case with all of the 30 amp powered sites. Sites are large enough for the largest of trailers and fifth wheel, though I did not see any pull-through sites. Firewood is available for a fee and each site has a firepit.
We will definitely be returning to this campground. This site is about a 4 hour drive from home.
