For KOA Holiday Homer Baycrest: Wonderful views, but the campground hosts on site did not enforce the pet policies on our stay. I’m a dog person, but the situations we experienced could have been disastrous. It should not be my job to watch an off leash dog behind my motorhome while backing into a site. It should not be my job to protect my dog (and myself) from a large off leash dog that bounds onto my site with no owner in sight. Finally, it should not be my job to pick up after another person’s dog. When the neighbor’s dog pooped on our site while I was setting up, I figured our neighbor had missed it and I cleaned up the mess. However, stepping in yet another pile of poop left on our site meant we spent our evening cleaning shoes rather than enjoying the view. While everything turned out fine in the end this time, I would not risk staying there again. There are other campgrounds with great views, and I didn’t feel safe with multiple unsupervised dogs in the campground.

For KOA Holiday Homer Baycrest: On the hill overlooking the Cook Inlet you cannot beat the view. Just minutes into Homer this is a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The camp host, Wayne, was fun to talk to. The facilities were very clean. The owners plan on many upgrades to the facility in the future. The Short Stop gas station next to the park, also run by the owners of the KOA, has basic essentials as well as food to go that is very good. If we come back to Homer this is where we’ll stay.

For KOA Holiday Homer Baycrest: Great views, away from the hustle & bustle of the Spit but an easy/short drive to get there. All amenities updated and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again!
