For Gulf State Park: Spacious sites is about the only good thing. 1- every time we walked our dog she got burrs in her paws 2- laundry is horrible. Dryers out of order, washers don’t empty for rinse cycle, and horribly filthy conditions. 3- rude woman in the camp store. Can go on but out of time.

For Gulf State Park: This is a very nice state park! Restrooms were clean and air conditioning felt great. Sites were large and as a drive up staff was very helpful. Fees included a free pass for the pier and parking at the beach. I was very impressed with the pedestrian walkway over the highway!

For Gulf State Park: Great campsite and all the facilities are maintained and clean. Sites are well maintained and clean if debris. I would have gave 5 stars but the walk from the site to the beach is a long one. A possible shuttle would be great. We are a family of four, so lugging everything around is quiet the task. But overall, it’s a great place to stay and very family oriented.

For Gulf State Park: Very nicely spaced sites with full hook-ups. Good WiFi, clean and spacious laundry. Great bike paths & off leash do park. Level sites but in summer months.....very little shade. Golf, Pickleball,

On Tour

For Gulf State Park: Very good state park. Only criticism is that they should just come out and say how much it actually costs per night. Their meaningless advertised “base rate” is a total nonsense that then has all sorts of mandatory extras added on when you settle your account. They may as well say the rate is $1 per night then charge $5 for the air you breathe, $3 for looking at the sky, $10 to come into the office, etc. just tell us what the all up mandatory price is at the beginning - PLEASE. That said, the sites are great, spacious and level. The pool is great too. We will come back.

Wandering Sandals

For Gulf State Park: Stayed at Gulf State Park campground for just 1 night. We had pull-thru site including full hookup with very little shade, despite our request for a shaded site and the office guarantees it! At $38/night but with res fee and taxes, it surely get to $53/night quick. Our site was leveled and power pedestal, water, and sewer were conveniently layout. Since all sites were evenly spaced and systematically layout, this campground looks more like spacious RV Park. Clean bathroom and nice hot shower. There is a nice dog park with dog exercise equipment but again no shades. The swimming beach near dog park is overgrown with algae, and we saw no one swim there. We were provided with 2 passes; one for the beach and another one for the pier which you have to drive there, or bike there, neither will be dog friendly. Can’t leave our pooch in the hot car, nor enjoy beach nor pier with our pooch so we decided to skip these. Lots of bike paths but no shade to cool you off, or the pooch off. Looks like the park still going through growing pain when we were there, some road still underdeveloped or coned off. Probably the park best visit in Springs or Autumn, but Summer is brutally hot without any shade in the right spots.
