For Clear Creek NF Campground: This time of year, this campground it’s nearly empty. It has nice graveled areas for table fire pit and barbecue grill. Pads are black topped but the double sites require RVs to run parallel to each other. The restrooms have not had hot water, so if you depend on it to take a shower, you may have to find the one and only that house working hot water. We had no trouble receiving and sending phone calls and emails while here. For Long Stays there are no sites with septic hook ups.

For Clear Creek NF Campground: We just checked out after 5 nites. This place is so peaceful, so well maintained, and the staff is professional and friendly and accessible. What more could you ask. Can’t wait to go back. The trails are great for hiking and Jasper is not so far away if you need to go shop for anything. Five stars for sure.

GR Braswell

For Clear Creek NF Campground: This rating is for the people in charge and working at this campground. We camped here for seven days without any of the bathhouses open! When we checked out, we found the dump station was closed as well! Come to find out they have been having sewer issues for over two weeks. TWO WEEKS! Total incompetence.

For Clear Creek NF Campground: Very nice campground. We stayed one night on our way South. We gots site overlooking the lake, a pull through which is paved and level. Just sat and enjoyed the view in the afternoon. The woman at the gate was helpful and positive. Large campground with alit of sites in several loops. Only negative was poor cell service on Verizon. One bar LTE. We did get several Birmingham stations on the TV and watched the evening news before the beautiful sunset.

Anna

For Clear Creek NF Campground: Nice National Park. Lots of big share trees, sites are paved and picnic area is stamped down gravel. No sewer hook up, but a nice dump station. There is a lake too. With my National Park Pass it was $17 per nite. Great value! There isn't many choices around Birmingham so this was a great find! We stayed in site 35 with our 40 ft fifth wheel and would stop here again.

For Clear Creek NF Campground: Stayed 2 nights (Tues & Wed) in April 2019 and had an AMAZING time! This campground is GORGEOUS! The staff were so nice and recommended site #17 in Fox Loop and it was stunning. Right on the lake and what a gorgeous view. Very clean and quiet. Sites have paved and level pads. Dump station has 2 lanes making for a quicker process at busier times. We pretty much had the park to ourselves. Loved it!

Casey Smith

For Clear Creek NF Campground: Stayed here two nights (Friday/Saturday) in mid June. It was an impromptu weekend getaway. Friendly staff and the campground was clean. The bath houses however were not clean. I know it’s hard to stay on top of the cleaning for the staff especially during busy weekends. But they were pretty bad. Stayed on the Hoot Owl loop. It was quiet at night. We had a double site because we brought a second vehicle and small trailer. Plenty of room. We much preferred Corinth which is also on Smith Lake. We stayed at Corinth late summer 2017 and the bath houses there were super clean. Plus Corinth has sewer hook up at site. Huge plus as I can run as much grey water as I need. We still used the bath house facilities. No sewer at clear creek. It would get an extra star for sewer and an extra for clean bathrooms. All else was good.
