For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Stayed one night! Clean, quit, inviting park! Shady area with hiking! Easy check in, just drive around pick your spot then Pay at Kiosk in office!

Wandering Sandals

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Stayed overnight in Gulpha Gorge campground due to its location inside Hot Springs National Park. We were little surprised to learn that self registered machine take full price at $30/night for full hookup. No pull-thru, only 40’ back-in sites. High price but no shower take the fun out of staying this campground. Granted, there is no entrance fee and visitors can lug all the amazing clean cold spring water (near The Happy Hollow) they can drink, or the hot spring water (near Visitor Center) to their heart desired, but other national park campgrounds have better sceneries and not completely and utterly commercialized like this one for less. RV sites near the creek were flat and most shaded, whereas sites near the Hot Springs National Park road needs leveling blocks and content with road noise. Clean and spacious picnic area before the campsites are inviting. Day trip to this park for playing in the creek, use picnic area, and site-seeing hot springs make more sense than overnight camping.

Todd

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: This is a great campground for a national park: paved driveway spots, full hook ups, most spots have some or a lot of shade. The campground is a 10 minute drive or a 2 mile hike to the central core of Hot Springs. Because the Sites cannot be reserved, we decided to arrive on Monday to increase our chances. We had several to choose from. We’ve been on the road for three months and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed at.

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: We loved our stay! Clean, water at each site, clean restrooms that are regularly maintained, visitor center is hikable from the site. Arrived on a Thursday evening and it was quite full with full-time at, but we easily found a spot. Would come back!

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Very nice, quiet and clean campground. No showers, hence the 4 star rating. When we arrived we could not get out of our RV as the dead bolt had broken off inside the door. Three gentlemen spent 2 hours helping us get out, two were staff. Very nice folks. Auto check in was working with credit card. Quick drive into town. Would stay here again.

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: The credit card machine still does not work. It only takes exact cash with no change given. How convenient? We ended up staying in a non power site and ran our generator. They were not happy but there were no level sites left and I did not have any more cash on me. Based on the CC machine working 4 months earlier, this site has issues that are not being addressed. We went to town the next day and then went to a state park a little ways a way. So make a day trip of it to the Hot Springs so you do not waste the trip.
