For KOA Journey Seligman: Kind of a sleeper park - it’s a pancake in the desert, I don’t know how someone ended up with an unlevel site, lol. But clean, well staffed, had all the things (dump, propane, laundry, etc) even a clean looking pool though I didn’t use it. Seligman isn’t much, but that also means no fighting any crowds at the historic/tourist things. The grocery store / market has bad reviews I don’t know why - yes it just has a few things and they are expensive, but it was clean and it has local farm meats and local eggs and duck eggs. In the grand scheme of distances out here, a lot of other tourist things are not that far away… they are far, don’t get me wrong, but it isn’t possible to stay close to everything or even most things.

For KOA Journey Seligman: If you think KOA means a quality campground, you’d be way off with this one. VERYPOOR. Sites are all dirt and over 3” side to side unlevel. Very poor customer service. I have an extra car with me and was told to park it in a visitor spot at the end of the row. I asked about a slot closer to the 3nd. Nope. Yet the park is basically empty, probably because the place is really bad.

For KOA Journey Seligman: 2 stars because it’s a KOA and I have higher expectations. Site was really close to busy tracks which doesn’t bother us. Bathrooms were kind of gross. Fire pit had trash in it. Site had railroad ties as demarcations which we found very cumbersome. Had to level. No highway noise. Ok for overnight but would probably look for someplace else if we roll through again.

For KOA Journey Seligman: At first I thought the train noise might be a problem, it wasn’t. Slept like a baby. Nice clean KOA, great staff. We will return.squab

For KOA Journey Seligman: $38 for a gravel lot with Electric and Water. Clean camp ground with lots of travelers, Didn’t use facilities so can’t comment on those. Close to train tracks with lots of train traffic throughout the night. Good stop for the night but not an extended stay.

Napa campers

For KOA Journey Seligman: A welcome campground with friendly and helpful hosts who just took over this month. Good clean laundry facilities. Very clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water for showers and sinks. Just off Highway 66, not far from I-40 exit. Camp store with essential and a some Route 66 souvenirs. The train goes by the campground but didn’t use a whistle so it didn’t bother us. This place felt like a safe refuge for us on our journey home.

Brager

For KOA Journey Seligman: $38 for a dirt lot with a few trees and full hook ups, pull through. Easy access on and off HWY 40. Staff was nice and friendly. We didn’t use the bathroom so can’t comment on that. The 40 and a set of train tracks are very close by so there is some road noise and frequent trains passing by, just like when we stayed in Williams AZ, the train is an all night thing. We sleep with a small fan for white noise and we are from the city so some road noise doesn’t bother us. Train noise can be bothersome though. We are just getting back from a 7 week trip across country and we have stayed in nicer places that cost a lot less. Probably won’t use this camp again.

For KOA Journey Seligman: We got what we paid for as advertised in the KOA book. Stephanie, the owner, and staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. Spent two nights here and feel like I got what I paid for.

PennyD

For KOA Journey Seligman: The only game in town. Minimal upkeep. For an historic town they do not show any pride. Dog run at the farthest point away. Don't know many dogs that can hold it that long. Thorny weeds in dog run. Waaaaay over priced but they have a captive audience since there are no other choices for miles. Pluses were clean pool to cool off in, all pull throughs with full hookups and (10 only) 50 amp the rest 30 amp. Will only come back if desperate.
