For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: This place is off the beaten path by quite a bit but is one of the most beautiful places we have been. The rock formations and the trails (don’t miss echo canyon trail) are drop dead gorgeous. No place like it. The campground is small and was built for tents. Small trailers and campers can navigate a few sites. We were in site 11 which is all paved and an easy back in. Our 20’ camper amd TV fit just fine. Also, no really close neighbors. There is a concrete wash crossing in and out. Take it slow and you should be fine. There is potable water in the park BUT there’s no way to hook a hose to the freeze proof hydrant. We just filled 2.6 gallon containers and put them in the tank. There is also no dump. There are places in Wilcox to dump but all charge. If you’re anywhere near the place, go. The rock formations are amazing and unique.

For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: This is a wonderful little campground. Was very cold at night when I was there but warmed up great for hiking in day. The trails are great I did four days of hiking LOVED every trail I hiked. Well marked trails amazing views.

For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: Beautiful small campground tucked at the base of the hoodoos. Definitely check the size of your lot as it isn’t big-rig friendly. I have a small teardrop and a truck so was tough for me in site 22, which is the smallest lot there. But loved this place!

Tumbleweed

For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: We rolled into the camground on the tail end of a snow storm on 11/29/19. What has been said in the other reviews still applies, definitely NOT big rig friendly! This is a beautiful campground, but very tight for larger rigs (29' max allowed) Didn't have any problem with our 28' tt, but we were fortunate enough to get site 11 which is an easy straight backin. There are only three or possibly four other sites that a trailer our size would fit in. Like others have said, the camp is very well maintained, and the camp host was very cordial and helpful. No dump station, no electric, no cell service. Clean, heated bathrooms, but no showers. Fresh water is available from community spigots. We only stay two nights and would have loved to spend a week, but there were no more days available. Reserve early!

Marcia

For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: This is a nice, well managed campground in a park with spectacular scenery. We tented and found the sites to be clean and, of course, they were conveniently located! The Rangers were very friendly, helping hikers find trails to suit their abilities and interests. No showers. Ranger talks on the weekends. If you are traveling during spring break or another busy time, you will have to make a reservation ahead of time.

Jim

For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: Small campground with small sites. In trees in a pretry setting. No hookups. Water faucet is not threaded for hose fill. I could barely get my 28' 5th wheel through the campground due to narrow turns and the deep wash crossings. 30'+ forget about it. I reserved the back in site #13 but could not get into the site as the pad is 90 degrees with no room to maneuver. The only site that could have worked was 11 but it was reserved. It's 40 miles from the nearest town of Willcox.....and 40 miles back.

Bj

For Bonita Canyon - Chiricahua National Monument: Very pleasant campground. Clean and well run. The camp host will be sure you have paid and are in the correct spot. (This is a good thing). Three warnings: there are no RV dump facilities in the area, contrary to what the Allstays site says. The two paved wash fords are VERY Steep and short. Our 26' class C scraped going through. Finally, I recommend making reservations because they fill up fast. I know, the reservation fee is a ripoff but you should do it here.
