For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Echoing all of the other great reviews, we found this to be a beautiful state park. The back in sites are huge, as are the pull-throughs. We had lightening-fast AT&T on our hotspot. All of the facilities were very clean. There are 2 lanes for the dump station, but only one actual dump. Fresh potable waer is also available at the dump.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Great campground near Winslow. Sites are leveled, bathhouse was very clean. Hopi ruins were very interesting.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: This is a really convenient overnight location right along I 40. It is far enough from the interstate that road noise is not a issue. Electric and water are available. The restrooms and showers were clean. Plan some time in the evening or morning to see the Native American ruins. A really unexpected treat. The AZ SP staff at the visitors center were very nice and helpful.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: This place is a gem. Big sites, clean, showers were clean with plenty of hot water. The views were amazing, and it’s close to the highway without being too close. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: This is a state park just outside of Winslow, AZ. It is in the corner of the state park. This is a mostly flat, desert area, filled with sagebrush type plants. The park is very well laid out with water and electric at all sites, and a dump station on-site. All the sites and the road are paved with asphalt. Our site was large enough to back our 35’ fifth wheel into, and still have room at the front to park our truck. There is lots of space between the camp sites, like most state parks (in my experience). There is also a metal picnic table at each site. It was $25/night with a $5 booking fee. There are a number of trails at the state park as well. When we were there (April), it was VERY windy two of the three days we were there. When it is windy, it is very unpleasant. The Ranger said that their windy season is in the Spring. We got one day of no wind, and it was peaceful and serene. The Ranger said the best time to visit was in the Fall (as far as weather goes). Great cell service (AT&T) and not too far from Interstate 40 to see Winslow, The Meteor Crater (about 25 minutes), or even Petrified Forest National Park (about an hour). We would stay there again.

Samfam

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Loved this state park campground! Sites well spaced so you have privacy and views (of empty desert but it’s beautiful). There’s a picnic table, fire ring and bbq at each site, as well as a couple of trees that would give a little shade later in the year. It’s really quiet. It was very windy as is most of Arizona we’re finding. Most sites have water and electric, some just water (tent sites that accept RVs). As others have said great location for sights in the area. We’d come back here for sure.
