For Rest Stop: A large rest area, with well maintained grounds and facilities. The central area dividing the auto from truck parking lots is a lush green irrogated lawn with many shade trees. The entire rest area, including the pet area with more thick green lawn, is very clean. Maintenance workers are present and active. One caution for those who don’t leash their dog: there’s no fence or barrier between the pet area and the Interstate highway lanes. There are some squirrels or similar animals in the brush along the highway that might tempt a dog to run to the highway, which is heavily traveled.
