For Lopez Lake Recreation Area: Nice campground with lots of wildlife. Unfortunately the bathrooms need some work. Showers are few and far between and also need work. No cell service for Verizon. Campers were quiet over New Year’s eve and the place was full. Rangers made the rounds frequently. There was a little trash around that I picked up. Not bad but not great either. Just needs a bit more attention.

For Lopez Lake Recreation Area: Just spent the weekend at Lopez Lake and just want to say the campground is nice. Actually that would be plural as there is more than one. Wild life is crazy close all the time and had deer walk through camp site which was cool. Facilities weren't the worst I have seen but could use some work. The drawback from ever going to this campground again is the unbelievable amount of disrespectful fellow campers there were. Loud music, loud cars, most campsites over crowded with multiple cars and the trash laying around that hardly anyone bothered to pick up was disturbing. Motorcycle riders gunning there engines going through the park was terrible. Park services people should be issued citation books every time they go out and I am sure would fill everyone out in a matter of a couple of hours. Tried some fishing at the lake and I could not believe the amount of trash around the lake. When we were done we picked up other people's trash on the way out. Filled a bag and had our hands full and still saw lots on the trail around the lake. Lake Lopez should hold a special free fishing day once a month and the only requirement is you fill a trash bag on your way out. Would clean a lot of it up. Sad to say I can not recommend this campground to anyone. This could be a real gem if given the attention it needs and park officials enforced the rules.

For Lopez Lake Recreation Area: We stay here several times a year. The wildlife is amazing. Deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, quail, woodpeckers and unfortunately skunks. The deer and turkey's will eat right out of you hands they are so used to people and there are so many of them you would think it was a wildlife refuge. Make sure at night before turning in that you put everything up or you will be over run by critters that will get into your food and trash.
Great place to take your family. Fishing is available and in the summer months there is a water slide.
Full hook up RV sites are what we use and Mallard, Blue Jay and Quail are our favorites.
This is a very beautiful nice campground, well kept and it is peaceful during the weekdays. On the weekends it can get a little noisy when it's full. But that is what happens when you get a full campground anywhere I guess.
It is very dark at night because you are away from town so it is in the hills, very nice camping experience, as I said we come here several times a year!

For Lopez Lake Recreation Area: Had a great time camping with the family over Easter weekend. Lots of hiking/biking trails. Stayed in Eagle campsite, reasonable quite in the evenings, very quite at night. My family and I will definitely be camping at Lopez Lake again in the near future; perhaps in Quail... We like to try different sites out.
