For Pleasant Valley County Campground: The gravel road in and through the campground are AWFUL. Beware. 3 mph max and expect your beer to greet you emphatically when you finally get to have one

Rio
For Pleasant Valley County Campground: This was a late summer visit. A lot of negatives here. Last site on a holiday weekend and we were just passing thru and needed one night to basically sleep and bbq dinner. The campfire ring had lots of old burnt trash, cans, etc. in it. My husband had to clean it out with a shovel just to cook bbq chicken. Also the site was plain dirt, no grass. And there were numerous biting ant hills and large ants scurrying about. I at least had mosquito repellant and sprayed it into the many holes and that drove them away. Our short stay here was like a bad, scary movie! I can laugh about now but wished we had just went to a Bishop motel. We stayed in a truck camper. (Thank God we were OFF the ground!)
