For Eel River Campground: So here is the quick and dirty: If you own a larger, 24' plus, RV, you may find it hard to camp here. The water supply described on the website requires at least a 50' hose to reach (its about 100'ft into the camp on the right hand side near the fence). Its about as basic as it gets. We are in a 24' sprinter based RV and every local we met said that this is about as far as we should go with our rig. I agree. There are multiple, AWESOME!!!!, swimming holes in walking distance, and a local store/restaurant/meeting place that has wonderful, eclectic, and down to earth people. Those of you familiar with NORCAL will know what I'm talking about, and those of you who are not...well...don't judge a book by it's cover.
There are a lot of black flies in the area so best to keep garbage away from camp & eat inside if you can!
