For Ballinger Campground: Hey, it’s a BLM campground that’s a staging area for OHVs. Don’t expect much. The campground is a large flattish area with small copses of junipers hither and thither. Campsites were defined by the tables and fire pits randomly placed around. There was actually much more room for camping than the 20 sites mentioned, and for practical purposes all pull thrus. The entrance road was more of a challenge. Although I had no problem with my large motor home, the somewhat paved and rutty road is only for the more adventuresome. It would be impassable in wet weather. Further, it crosses through an arroyo with fairly sharp grade changes going in and out. A large trailer or 5th wheel might get hung up.
