For Chuchupate Campground: I personally did not like this campground. The 2 mile road up to it was extremely rough! Lots of very deep potholes and bumps. It is a primitive campground with vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. But there was no water and, most importantly, no cell service! As a solo female traveler I did not feel comfortable staying here. I went up the road to McGill Campground and I’m glad I did!

For Chuchupate Campground: Great primitive campground at the base of Frasier Mountain. Unknown if my 34 foot Class A will make the road in but there is a flat parking lot near the ranger station they let us camp in as long as you are self contained and dont spread out all over. Close to trails and 8500 ft peak. Dry with vault toilets.
