Marizee
For McGill Campground: Excellent campground and only an hour from Bakersfield. There are cameo hosts, vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. There is no water so you must bring your own! There is cell service up here as well. Lots of pine trees and a nice cool breeze. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe here. Some sites do have to be reserved, but there are enough first come first serve sites for those of us that don’t make reservations. It is $20 a night here but, if you have a seniors’ pass, it’s only $10 a night.

For McGill Campground: Really nice primitive camp. Be sure and bring your own water as their is none at the camp.

For McGill Campground: A simple forest camp. Shade, pit toilets. This one is well cared for. I like that there are many trails right out of the campground.
