For Half Moon Bay RV Park: I am living full-time here. This is my first RV park for full-time living. The other reviews are mostly accurate. The park is 1/2 gravel and 1/2 paved so there is a lot of dust. I compared other parks in the area and this was the only one on the coast that would take the size of my rig and not make me move every 28 days. The office staff is more than friendly and keep a very safe park. There is 24/7 security, the grounds are maintained well and the laundry/bath house very clean. The park offers free WiFi, DVD’s, basic amenities and propane exchange tanks. You can fill your propane tanks either in town or down the road 1 mile.
We are 1/4 mile from the beach so we are protected from the storms which do roll in during the winter months. The dog park is just down the road on the way to the beach. Easy walking/biking trails into town which is about 1 mile away. Cameron’s Pub is onsite and a fun place to visit and grab a bite or watch a game.
Very easy commute to the SF Bayy Area which is where I work. The monthly space rent is 1/2 of what I paid for an apartment on the other side of the hill. The residents are mostly working professionals who look out for each other and are very friendly.

For Half Moon Bay RV Park: Most of the bad reviews are from short term RVers looking for a night here or there. Believe me, I’m used to paying a much lower rate especially for what you get here. However, having said that, for full time living the weekly and monthly rates are competitive. It’s super dusty, but what little vegetation grows here, is well maintained by a gardener. It’s quiet tucked away and safe. The best part is not being directly on the beach. (You heard me right.) Because we are not directly on the beach, we don’t have to deal with all the associated traffic. We have nice trails near the park that take you to the bluffs and a ravine trail that takes you directly to the beach. They’re about 1/4 mile from the park to the beach. So yeah, you might have to do a little walking to get to the beach. Speaking as a longer term resident (3 months plus), I think this park appeals to people like me. (People who like the area, don’t want to pay exorbitant housing costs, and aren’t just weekenders.) However, of the 3 parks in the area, this is a crowd favorite even amongst weekend warriors. You just only hear reviews from weekenders who wanted to park directly on the beach for $50 a night during the summer months.

For Half Moon Bay RV Park: I still have dust on my lips from leaving this RV site. Do not waste your time or money. Every time a car passed, dust blew up covering everything around us.
The whole RV lot is gravel and dust.
It's a 1/4 mile walk to the beach. There's no view of the beach from the site.
We ended up going to pillar point down the road that only has first come first serve but way nicer and full hooks up and right on the beach.
We would have rather lost our one night reservation (which we did) than to have waken up to a cloud of dust and the sounds of construction workers by the fence we were parked up against.
I don't believe any of the positive reviews that this site got and wished I had read the more recent negative one, so that I could have cancelled in time, where I also would have still paid $20 just to cancel.

For Half Moon Bay RV Park: No value for money. If you stay for a few nights, you're positioned 20 meters from the high way next to a construction site that generates a lot of noise. The 84 usd that is charged per night for full hook up is ridiculous.

For Half Moon Bay RV Park:
- Accessibility: Easy access from Interstate 1, but the 7 mile trip from Interstate 101 just south of San Francisco took 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon.
- General Appearance: Very well maintained
- Staff: Friendly and fast check-in
- Sites: Vary from fairly wide to very cozy. Ours was level but had enough slope that a few blocks under the jacks were required. The sites are gravel and the area very dry, so the vehicles on roadway stir up a lot of dust
- Trees / Shade: none
- Ambiance: Ok for a few nights the pub next door has excellent food.
- Wifi: Yes
- Hookups: 30 and 50 amp with water and sewer available
- Cable TV: No, but offer a free loan of dvd's
- OTA TV: Yes, very good
- Cell Phone: ATT - 3 bars of extended service
- Recreation Facilities: Volley ball and horseshoes plus it is about a 15-walk to the bluffs overlooking the beach and ocean below.
- Pet Friendly: Yes, but no dedicated runs. There is plenty of space to walk them and a public dog run about 1/2 mile east
- Laundry: Yes and clean. Cost $2.50 per load as laundry in town is closed Sat and Sun.
- Restrooms / Showers : About a half dozen very clean
- Propane: Don't think so
- Cost (ave 1 night w/fees): $84 (ouch)
- Stay here again: Would look for other options as it was just too dusty and I feel overpriced for what is provided
- Other: Can catch Bart at Daily City to ride into San Francisco. Not on the water, about 1/2 mile away.

Mark
For Half Moon Bay RV Park: Large, fenced in parking lot between highway and the coast. Spots are very close to each other and there are no trees. Feels overpriced for what is offered.

For Half Moon Bay RV Park: Camerons is a great restaurant right attached to the campground. 1/2 mile walk to Ocean and Coastal Trail.
