For Rivernook Campground: Nice park on the Kern River. The park was about 1/2 full on this march weekend. There are several tent camping spots along with partial hook up sites on the river front. Several potable toilets throughout the park which is nice. There are also fish cleaning stations.

For Rivernook Campground: This place is spectacular!! It has everything you need. Spaces are nice and big. With trees. All types. For tents, partial and full hookups. Bathrooms are big and clean. They have a small store at the entrance. The best part is the awesome river. There are several small spaces on the river edge where you can Just hang out, great for small children. But farther in, there is a nice current for older kids to play. Or for the more adventurous, you can walk up the river, about 10 min, and then float down on an inflatable tube. They recommend life vests, but the current is only strong enough to make it fun. We came with our 11, 12 and 16 year olds. They all had a great time. The water is cold, but it felt great with the August heat.

For Rivernook Campground: In early April 2019 we stayed at Rivernook for 3 nights in our 25' motorhome. The park was very sparsely populated. Our site backed up to the beautiful, roaring Kern River. This park is beautiful. We couldn't get TV cable system working, so staff gave us a cable box that worked perfectly. The wifi in the park is great. Bathrooms were very clean. This is one of my favorite RV parks ever.

For Rivernook Campground: This place SUCKS. We came in for 1 week. No problem. Also paid for our kids to joins us on Friday. No problem. They took the money. Our kids get here and their reservation is for a week later??!! What is with that. Why would I pay for us to stay this week and them to come a week later. What part of our kids are going to join us don’t they understand?? Sorry we are full?!?

For Rivernook Campground: My wife and I stayed at Rivernook Campground in Kernville, CA in late April, 2018. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. They were helpful from the time we made our phone reservations, until we arrived, and during our stay.
The grounds are beautiful. The campground is right on the Kern River, and 15-20 sites back right up to the roaring water. These were beautiful sites, although we didn't stay in one (they were full). Most of the RV sites in the park are water/electric only, and about 20-30 are full hook-up. The full hook-up sites, however, aren't in the prettiest parts of the campground. The sites are long and spacious, but not particularly wide.
We arrived on a Wednesday and the park to ourselves and about a dozen other campers for two days. On Friday night, the park filled up with people, who mostly all left on Sunday (to be expected). Even with the campground full, it wasn't too loud. On Saturday night, there was a wedding in a clearing they have at the north end of the park. It actually looks like a nice venue for large events, if that is what you're looking for.
The bathrooms and showers are clean, and there is a dump station if you didn't get a site with full hook-ups. There were a lot of tent campers as well.
They advertise WiFi, but it was not working during our five night stay. They said that they had to get the company out to service it. We had 4 bars of AT&T 4G coverage, though, so we had access to the outside world.
We have a 35' fifth wheel, and are traveling as an extended stay couple.

For Rivernook Campground: We tent camped here in 2017 and fell in love. So when we bought our 5er, we made it our first big trip. The bathrooms are clean, the people are super nice and Kernville is an adorable little town. We even made a quick trip to Wofford Heights to catch the new Avengers movie with our son and his friend. The prices for the full hookup sites are awesome. With a military discount we only paid $84 dollars for two nights. We will definitely be back.

Large park, trees, river and creek. Dusty sandy large sites, great place for kids. Good hookups but some sites not full hookups, no sewer. Can use main dump site. We did not use bathrooms.
