For Horse Creek: Stayed early Oct 2019. $20/night. It was a Sat night and busy so few sites to choose from. We got a pull through site which was ok. A bit of a hike to the toilets which were not clean. Shower was not working. Dump available. A pretty site and a great location after coming out of Sequoia NP. Would stay again.

For Horse Creek: Love to boondock in our 40’ Tiffin Allegro Bus so off season this is a great spot site 59. It is a pull thru site. We had no problem opening 4 slides and parking our Jeep Sahara Other campgrounds near here were $40. - and up! Yes it is right off of Hwy 198. but it is off season (Nov 1, 2018) noise isn’t too bad. I have headphones to block the noise during the day and at night I run a fan and it drowns out the road noise. Campsite wasn’t as clean as we are used to and it really wasn’t that bad, however for $10.00 a night with our senior pass instead of $20.00 you can’t beat it. Pretty here. Some hills and mountains. I’ll not be using showers or restrooms because we are self contained. We have 5 girls, our dogs, and we have a fence containment enclosure which is nice for them to just go in and out the motor coach while we are here we are here. Great Verizon service so far! We will stay at least 2 nights maybe a little longer once we go into Sequoia N.P. tomorrow! It was 77 °. Tomorrow 80°. Too warm for me. I know and I am from AZ. Take me back to the Oregon coast please!

For Horse Creek: Campground interesting in that it is IN a reservoir and floods every year, not opening until the water recedes in July. The campground is on a steep slope, and the permanent facilities are at the top of the hill. Two restrooms that most people drove to rather than walking up a 50 foot or more climb. Port a pots in the lower part of the campground. Did not use facilities so don’t know about cleanliness. Narrow roads, narrow sites makes this not suitable for big rigs. We reserved a 40 foot pull through that was just a parallel parking spot on a narrow road on a curve. We definitely hung out in the road but no other sites available. Table was filthy due t being submerged most of the summer. No potable water at dump station. Lots of road noise.

For Horse Creek: The best feature of the campground is the location. It is close to Sequoia entrance and in a picturesque valley on Lake Kaweah. We have stayed at a number of ACE campgrounds and have never been disappointed until now. The sites weren't level and too narrow for an rv. The park is on a hillside however we have been to many campgrounds in the hills and when paving sites it is possible to level them prior to paving, that was not done here. Also, the showers and bathrooms were the worst I've seen in awhile (old, dirty and not enough available for the number of sites), ever for an Ace campground and considering there is no water or power sites available you really have to use them if you stay for more than a night or two. The only good thing about the showers was there was hot water. Overall the sheer beauty of the location and the closeness to the park are the only reasons I'm giving it 3 stars.
