For Del Valle Regional Park: Absolutely beautiful large camp ground with excellent showers, toilets and well maintained generally. Various types of wild life wander around the grounds: deer, turkey, and plenty of ground squirrels. We found mosquitoes to be a real problem - bring the repellent.
Only a small number of sites have hookups and you cannot use a generator at all, so if you don't have a hookup site, be prepared to be off grid. There is no cell phone signal from any carrier and no wifi. You can get cell phone signal at the top of the ridge, about 1 mile drive.
There's a shop selling basic necessities and another shop at the marina across the bridge. Good place for boating (you can rent) and fishing. Livermore wineries are nearby.

For Del Valle Regional Park: Nice enough campground. There was plenty of room to get our 38' fifth-wheel in and out. The sites we were in were not level. The road in and out of the campground was surprisingly steep and long, both an uphill and a downhill, coming and going. No Verizon service at the campground - we had to drive to the top of the nearest hill, about a mile up. In spite of those inconveniences, we had a pleasant stay. It's relatively convenient to the Bay Area, feels peaceful, and the wild turkeys were fun to watch.
