For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: We stayed here when they opened up after Covid-19 and got a FCFS site. Loop A, C and D(tent only)are reservable as are the group sites in B. We enjoyed our stay but had no internet on either ATT or Verizon, but if you turn right on main road head up the hill to the pull off on left side of the road you can get 1-3 bars depending on service. The lake is fly fishing or barbless artificial lures only which I wanted to try but fishing from the shore is near impossible with the trees or brush (bring small boat, raft ir float tube-no engines). The other lakes were not open yet but Summit lake and campground appear to have a good reputation. We will return. Four stars due to covid shutdown of store, shower, laundry and boat rentals.

For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: We loved the spacious sites and enjoyed having a campfire. We were in Loop A, site 13, which was conveniently close to a toilet block. We didn’t use the showers because of the cost. The laundry was good. Loved our time at this park.

Just a camper

For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: We came early to get a spot. Loop B is first come, first serve. Loop D also, but only tents. We paid $26. No cell phone reception. The paid showers are near the store, so quit a walk. We did not use, so we have no opinion. They also ask $8 separate for the dump station. All in all not very cheap for a primitive campground. That said the views from the lake trail are postcard gorgeous.

For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: Nice. Roads in the sites are paved, as well as the pads. No dust . Not always level, and some pull thru’s were a challenge. Our 24’ TT made it in, but tight in/out. (B17). Very clean and well taken care of. Limited generator time, which was appreciated. We recommend and would stay again.

Nancy

For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: Stayed here for a week in early October.

Allstays states 45 ft max RV length, but NPS website states 40 ft max which is more accurate. Managed to get our 42 ft 5th into a 100+ ft pull-through site (A22), but not without some tricky maneuvering due to curve of pad, tree stump, and it being on the inside of loop so had to enter site from opposite direction so our door would face the correct side.

Overall, a beautiful and peaceful campground next to Manzanita Lake. Visitor center was small but informative. Store overpriced. Laundry facilities adequate. Would return, but only if we could get site A23, best suited for our rig.

For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: We were looking for a CG in the general area with water and a dump station. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a Saturday night in mid-September in our 25 foot MH.

This is a pleasant CG inside the Lassen Volcanic NP. There are 4 loops - A sites were slightly larger, B sites were mostly first come first serve, D Loop was tents only. We didn't see the C Loop. We arrived at 5pm and got the last site in the B loop. There a mix of campsites, some are larger, some are pull through, pull over, back in, some are better for RVs or tents. Most have shade, some more than others. Some have asphalt pads, others are gravel. Most need some leveling. There's a dump station near the entrance with potable water. Neither water hose had a hose fitting, only a cut off hose. There's no wifi. There was a weak Verizon cell signal near the store and dump station, no signal at the campsite.

There are kayaks for rent at the CG store. Manzanita Lake is a short walk from the campsites. There's a Ranger Station and Visitor Center just outside the CG. The Lassen Volcanic NP scenic drive is pretty. There's much hiking in the NP.

Dave

For Manzanita Lake - Lassen Volcanic National Park: Wonderful campground at the north entrance with many long and pull thru sites. Many people make reservations for these tho. $12/nite with senior pass, double that for regular. Dry camping inthe woods. Nice dump and water. Store has kayaks for the small but pretty lake there for $16/hr. Three loops; reserved, non reserved, and tent only. Bring firewood as the store is a rip off.

Forgot to say there is NO cell here or in much of the park. It is a 15 mile drive up to Old Station tho and you can get it there.

There is also a nice little restaurant with good food there and they have wifi.
