For Elk Prairie - Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park: Stayed feb. 17 and 18, 2020 in a truck camper site 71. The host and the handicapped site are the only ones with electricity. The visitor guide has a good camping section to help one find best camping fit. The campground supposedly limited to 24 ft trailers. That is pushing it. Sites are paved but very small and the ones in the open where you can get sun 71-75 are also close when occupied. The ones in the woods were mainly occuppied by tents and are in big trees by a creek so dark and wet. I saw no Elk but did see deer. Filling up on weekends according to the pleasant camp host even this time of year. I like the park but would try to find a different campground. No Verizon without booster and weak with. Dish fine out in open sites.

For Elk Prairie - Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park: This is a CA state park campground. Therefore not cheap (we paid $35). No hookups available. No dump, pay for showers. No cell phone reception (ATT).
However we did not stay here for the facilities but for the beautiful and inspiring Redwoods. You are right in the middle of it all. Plenty of hiking from short and easy to long and strenuous. We saw Elk too, very nice!
