For Butano State Park: Standard CA State campground, no HUs. Sites are deep in a coniferous forest of big trees, very atmospheric so memorable. To get to them you have to drive quite a way up a twisting blind curves truly one-lane road. Could be a trial depending on what kind or rig you have and what you meet on the way up or down. Would help to have a system that does not require you to go back down to finalize after picking a site. Some non reserved sites in late September when we were there.
