For Cal Expo RV Park: Really annoying to be in an almost empty park and then not allowed to choose a site and instead be crammed into a small area for “ overnight†campers? What the heck?

For Cal Expo RV Park: Not great curb appeal and little to no shade. Mostly all gravel with some paved sites. Like previously said, it is basically a parking lot with full hookups. Lots of large pull thrus. Clean as a whistle, very friendly staff and good facilities. Has a security patrol and fully fenced and gated. Felt very safe.

For Cal Expo RV Park: Maybe 3.5 stars. Folks were helpful and friendly at check in, but this place is basically a giant parking lot with hook ups. No shade in the central areas so if you are going to be here in the summer request a spot near the bike trail that might have shade. Needed three lego blocks under the front wheels. Feels very secure, which is nice considering the transient population which seems to be everywhere. Streetlights are on all night and fairly bright

For Cal Expo RV Park: Reserved for a week stay. They were so kind when I was delayed a day. I only stayed 5 nights because had a family emergency and had to leave quickly. I stayed in the gravel lower area that is more level. Laundry room was closed all week. Was not told that before arriving. Wifi was ok. Verizon I had 2 bars. It’s a very run down park. 1 bathroom way at entrance. Not even a third capacity and they place me right next to someone, with over half open park is empty, then they place noisy kids next to me when I try to work all day. Felt like I was staying with little kids! Lots by of weeds. Not kept up. The only reason I’d come back is it’s just a mile from family.

For Cal Expo RV Park: Agree with other reviews not much curb appeal but the park has good security and a lovely long bike/walk trail near the park which is great as we have two dogs that love their morning walks. We are here to be close to UC Davis medical center for heart surgery. It's very convenient for that and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. One month maximum stays means there are many open spaces outside of the state fair time of year.

For Cal Expo RV Park: I was assigned to the new side of the park - it has large pull thrus but zero shade and is 100 % gravel making it a very hot place to camp if it's hot weather. Good value. Great location. If you like to bike it has great access to the American River bike trail system.
On the new side you clearly hear whatever is going on at the Cal Expo grandstand so you might check their web site to see if any races or musical acts are performing the nights you are staying. It did not get quiet until about 11 pm Friday night during my stay.

For Cal Expo RV Park: Great location near everything in Sacramento.
My only dislikes are Cal Expo RV areas don't have much curb appeal and it being loud so close to the freeway. The WiFi is decent most of the time (Playing Netflix.)
