For Ed Zberg Sugar Pine Point State Park: We got super lucky and got a FF site for 5 nights over the 4th of July weekend. The campground was awesome and we loved the bike trail to Meeks Beach. We saw a bear and heard screams throughout our stay so definitely use the bear boxes. The only downside is that the showers are super far, but a nice bike ride gets you there.

For Ed Zberg Sugar Pine Point State Park: We loved this campground but with a few issues. Campsites are mostly level, water is in campground around the loops, though some loops have only water others have the kind you can screw a hose into. There are two dump stations and the fresh water is on the other side away from the dump which we really like, so it is not being used by some to hose down their tank areas. Bring own hose. There are camp tables, some grills, fire pit with grill, and bear proof containers and Bears ( neighbors had one just this morning), cell phone coverage is ok at 1-2 bars for both ATT and Verizon. The bathrooms get heavy usage and a very dated. Showers are nice enough and take tokens $1 for 1 token = 3 minute shower time, the showers are located iff the main road or the walking paths between loops for all to use, but there were approximately 10 showers. The lake is located on the other side of hwy 89 and there is a parking area that is free with your camping receipt, there are quite a few day use picnic areas with some being able to fit a small RV. The lake is down a hill that is paved but somewhat steep for us older folks. There are walking/bike paths that lead to a main path along hwy 89 but be aware of tree roots and tripping hazards. Firewood is available when you drive in or from the camp host for $10 per bundle about 5-6 pieces. Sites at this time cost $35 per night, there are disabled sites throughout the different loops as well. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time riding our bikes from Meeks Bay to Tahoe City on the paved trail.

For Ed Zberg Sugar Pine Point State Park: This whole area is overrated. The lake is pretty but surrounded by expensive homes. Campsite was okay. Sites are doubled up side by side so privacy lacking. Expensive. $25 at the beginning of the season when there were no showers, no dump. Firewood if you caught the ranger.

For Ed Zberg Sugar Pine Point State Park: Open year round. Car camped here while on a ski trip in late March. Bear boxes provided to secure food from critters. Bathrooms very clean with running water. Limited camp sites due to winter season, but only 3 were taken of about 12-16 total (estimated) available during the one weeknight I overnighted here. The entrance road and parking areas at campsites we're plowed and completely clear of snow. Tent camp sites were not cleared. I comfortably slept in my car. Very quiet this time of year.

For Ed Zberg Sugar Pine Point State Park: We visited this camp ground after we had made a reservation online and not knowing the area. Friendly staff, good spots, showers oke. Only downside was that there are other campsites in the area located closer to the lake.

For Ed Zberg Sugar Pine Point State Park: Been here off season, January. Friendly park rangers. Only downside was that the dump was closed.
