For KOA Holiday Trinity Lake: Pro: big sites, nice tree coverage, big store, friendly staff, some programs, can purchase gas & diesel, dual water spigots on RV sites. Con: pool is nasty (chemicals way out of balance - water was so cloudy), propane refill doesn’t function in high heat.

For KOA Holiday Trinity Lake: This is our all time favorite KOA! We discovered this campground by accident and now it has become a family tradition. This was our 4th trip up here from where we live in Santa Barbara. It is a long haul with a fifth wheel but well worth it.
I love camping among the Forest but still having modern conveniences (hook ups). They have Lyons bingo on Wednesday and Saturday which is fun. One year my husband walked away with $200+.
The main reason we love coming here is the youth group that works there and put on activities 2-4 times a day for the kids. My kids love the activities and this is a campground I feel safe letting them wander around with a walkie talkie.
The pool is nice, the snack bar is a god send. We usually eat at the snack bar once a trip and it is good food.
Between mini golf, bike rental, swimming, etc. there is plenty for the kids to do.
We have always had pretty good luck finding camping families with similar interests. Made some really good friends this last time! ?
