For Cherry Creek State Park: Stayed four nights in September. Nice campsites with easy setup for larger rigs. Friendly staff, clean up to date facilities. 12 miles to downtown Denver. Only drawback is the campground is close to several highways with heavy traffic.

For Cherry Creek State Park: Fantastic campground with excellent amenities and LOTS of space between sites. We stayed 2 weeks and loved walking the park and the trails down to the reservoir. Amazing mountain views! Being Colorado residents, we were disappointed with ourselves for not staying here more often before moving out of state.
We stayed in January in a 40' 5th Wheel in a back-in site and the weather was fantastic. A little bit of snow one day and the snow and ice melt made the space muddy so our only advice would be to go for a pull-through that is fully-paved. This is really just a winter and spring melt issue.

For Cherry Creek State Park: Cleanest campground I've seen in a while. Lots of space between sites and wildlife everywhere. Most campsite hosts are super friendly and on the spot cleaning as soon a someone pulls out. Reservation (Reserve America)are a MUST!! Campground is full or at least the Rangers will list it as full often. You have to get on a first come first serve list at 8 am for a spot starting at noon. Weirdest system I've seen but still pretty worth it.

For Cherry Creek State Park: Reservations a MUST. This park will sell out every weekend during summer. Even weekdays are iffy, check State Parks website.

For Cherry Creek State Park: Great park, campsites clean an campground well kept and quiet. Patrolled often. Only downside is the Park Rangers. The ones at the campground office are "snooty" and not friendly. They need a lesson in Customer Service.

For Cherry Creek State Park: Rv spots are lots of space between, lots are cleaned and raked in between visitors, everything is new and in great shape. Women's shower was bad with no water pressure, but clean. Charges you quarters for time in the showers. Not much view from rv lots, but take a nice walk down to the lake for great sunsets. Paid $35 which includes $9 park entrance fee. We lucked out by getting the last spot tonight when we dropped in at last minute in the middle of the week so book ahead if you want to ensure you stay here.
