For Island Acres - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: nice state park. Good walking trails. Laundry. Lousy cell reception and 4G. situated between I70 and the railroad so there is some noise....cannot say it bothered us but if you are sensitive to it..... Great location to visit Palisades (wineries), Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument.

For Island Acres - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: Nice state park with roomy pull through full hookup sites. Gravel pads with covered picnic table and some grass. 1 swim lake and 2 fishing lakes. Right on the Colorado River. Beautiful views with canyons all around. Loop D, the full hookup loop, is closest to I-70 so lots of highway noise. Cost is $28 per night since we have a yearly Colorado state park pass. If no pass, add $7 per day. We would stay here again despite the highway noise.

For Island Acres - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: Nice state park with full hookups and lots of room. A lot of noise from the highway. Park ranger does come through and check the campers, which I do like, keeps rowdy campers in check so everyone can enjoy their stay. It is a little pricey for a state park, but much better than your other options in grand junction.

Janey
For Island Acres - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: Stayed one night February. Electric only $31 kinda pricey. But the only RV there. Nice for the dogs. Propane ran most of the night so didn't hear I 70 but you can outside. Pretty cool place when there is no one else here.

For Island Acres - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: Stayed in early July 2015 for 5 nights with full hookup at Island Acres. Good base of operations to visit the wineries in Palisade and/or Grand Mesa (trout fishing) and the Colorado Monument.
Downside is heavy traffic noise from I70 and north bank railroad. Noise from truck traffic usually woke us up before 0600. Additionally, tons of mosquitos which made sitting outside uncomfortable.
