For Fruita - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: I would restate the previous review, and add that the proximity to the Dinosaur museum always brings us here with grandkids. The review which speaks of closely spaced sites is obviously intended for Monument RV park across the street. I'll balance any traffic noise with the fine location and easy access and give it 5 stars.

For Fruita - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: This State Park campground is one of the best in Colorado. Very clean, with widely-spaced, level, paved sites. Many sites have views of Colorado National Monument. Short drive to downtown Fruita, the Monument and the several mountain biking trail heads in the area. River boat launch also on site. The only downside is proximity to I-70 and a train track. You do hear traffic and trains all night. Without the noise, this would get 5 stars. Great staff.

For Fruita - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: Very nice overnight stopover, without a reservation because we were stymied in our reservation for the Monument. Paved, level sites with watered grass between them. The full hookup sites are all pull through with lots of room between, a nice steel picnic table and roof. Beautiful view of the Monument. Previous review by Steve Goppert doesn't match what we saw; i think he may have stayed at the RV park across the street.

For Fruita - James M Robb-Colorado River State Park: We have stayed here twice as an overnight stopover. It suits that purpose quite well. The showers and restrooms are clean and nice. The staff was also quite helpful. Sites are close together and the trees full so it is more like a gravel parking lot. They don't have a pet area. The good news is a Colorado River State Park is just across the street. The park is also good for a walk and access to the river. We will stay again as an overnight stop.
