For Alpen Rose RV Park: I am quite shocked by the four star reviews. Goodness. This is the nicest RV Park we have ever stayed in. I am not sure what it doesn’t have??? The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The sites are large AND have room for an extra car if you brought one. There is a two acre dog park! There is a dog wash station! There is a trout pond you can fish in! There is a stage where they put on live music, a wonderful restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, trees everywhere, the narrow gauge train nearby, a swimming pool, playground, volleyball court, and a gift shop with local made goods. Aaaaand more… a dog walking service, laundry facilities, outdoor decks for relaxing, and awesome showers. Seriously people. This is an amazing place. I don’t get anyone giving it anything other than 5 stars.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Loved this campground! Beautiful area and great location! We stayed in the big rig sites in front of park in a 40’ class A. WiFi was very good! Would definitely recommend and will stay again when in the area!

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Great location and has the potential to be a 5-Star park. We are enjoying our stay, but there are a few things that could take this park to the next level. 1) Install good Internet service. The current service is totally useless and doesn’t work. 2) install cable TV, antenna service is inconsistent. 3) bathrooms need expanded and renovated. Current ones are worn out and not as clean as 5-star parks. 4) installl a pickleball court. 5) bonus suggestion, put some actual fish in that pond and open it earlier and close it later so people can catch fish when they are actually biting, 7:00AM to 8:30PM.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Very nice park. Well maintained. Everyone is very helpful. The best sites for us were the big rig sites near the office. The other 50 amp sites are pretty tight together with little shade. The 30 amp sites are in the back where it is shaded. Lots of places to walk the dogs and a dog wash.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: (6/15/21) Another excellent RV campground. This place is awesome! If you can plan for at least three nights. Everything is clean and well maintained. Folks that work there are very nice and helpful. We already want to go back.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: This is a RV - dog park. Dogs like the the huge play area. The park itself is average - needs some polishing. Wifi is weak or even in many spaces unavailable. If available, very slow. T-mobile signal is missing. Verizon and Att work. Infrastructure was not used by user, pool was closed due to Covid. This is probably the best RV park in Durango, but could be much better,

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Had a nice one night stay here. We wanted to stay additional nights but campground was fully booked. Laundry and bathrooms were very clean. Most sites are well shaded with a small patch of grass and the large enclosed dog park was a big plus. Pizza and breakfast area closed due to coronavirus.
