Craig
For KOA Holiday Ouray: We booked a site and paid extra fora confirmed site 8 months in advance. We confirm less than one week before our arrival. When we arrived our sites had been given to other campers. We ask to talk with the manager. She was close to useless and only wanted to tell us about her problems. She continued to tell us about a larger group who booked earlier and “spent more money†was the problem. We had a confirmed reservation with an extra fee for our site.
They were able to make some adjustments that helped our situation but this started us off with a very bad vibe from the staff and management.
So I’ll wrap this up as a KOA with a bad Manager and staff who are not will to admit they made a mistake.

For KOA Holiday Ouray: If you book for water/electric sites, be careful as the sites are small. We paid $80 for a ridiculous small campsite that was squeezed between two >45’ RVs. It’s too expensive for what we got.

For KOA Holiday Ouray: We camped at this lovely KOA for 6 nights in July 2021. It is in one if the most beautiful parts of Colorado with lots if things to do. This year we have driven our RV almost 10,000 miles and have stayed at many KOA parks. This is one of the best. A big diversity of sites (so does not look like an RV parking lot). Lots of trees. Well maintained facilities with a great camp store. The bathrooms were “hospital cleanâ€. But the best part was the staff and the customer service. The employees seemed to genuinely love their job and enjoy working with each other. And they authentically wanted to be helpful to the campers. The management definitely hit a home run with us!

Larry Dial
For KOA Holiday Ouray: We had a good spot, it was a little dusty and the WiFi was poor. The staff was typical for KOA friendly and knowledgeable. The family that owns the park has just recently bought the park.

Lucille
For KOA Holiday Ouray: When we arrived the Ouray KOA, we were told that we would need to move our trailer to the space next to it the next day because someone else booked it. They now let you put a $20 deposit to hold a specific spot. Our friends were asked to move 3 times in 5 days. Never had this experience at a KOA before. The entire campground is gravel and because it is so big, it’s noisy with cars coming and going. The dog walk area is a dirt path up a steep hill. Fortunately, Ouray is beautiful so there’s no need to hang out at the KOA during your time in Colorado.

For KOA Holiday Ouray: Be careful of the site they assign to you. We booked and paid for a “full hook-ups†site but it didn’t have a sewer connection. When I brought it up with the staff they simply said “oh it’s just labeled wrong on the website I guessâ€. Other than that, it’s a pretty campground with lots of activity. Kind of a party atmosphere. Good location.

For KOA Holiday Ouray: Huge campground and well run. Small cafe right in campground that has music on weekends, part of the summer. Very clean! Jeeps can be rented at campground for touring. The campground store is well stocked. If you’ve had negative experiences with KOA’s I think this will change your mind. We had a great time there and plan on going back.
