For Manatee Cove Campground: After reading other reviews I hesitated about coming here, but I am happy I did!
True, the tent area is a little crowded, but the location is great, and the clubhouse is first rate with air conditioning, a big tv and easy chairs to sit in. There is also a complete kitchen in the clubhouse. The roads are paved, and the Rv sites for the most part are nice with hookups at all of them.
I camp at BLM and national parks a lot so I might be easier to please.
I really can't find any serious faults with this campground!!

For Manatee Cove Campground: One of the worst tent campgrounds on the planet!!! No water, no electricity, no space ( tent areas on top of each other), next to the runway ( you get no sleep at all due to flights taking off or aircraft hooked to their generators), nasty, filthy bathhouse and most importantly cost is $10 for a small, small pice of dirk to put up your tent... This is the first military sight we had no water or no water and elec. the only thing in abundance was mosquitoes .... Oh, and laundry was .75 wash/dry.

For Manatee Cove Campground: Really nice place to stay. This is our 5th visit since Oct 2013. We were lucky to get a full hook-up on the river after one day one the wait list. The biggest hassle for people is registration. The campground office is being remodeled so the temporary registration office is at the Outdoor Recreation center about 1 1/2 miles away. It's not a big deal but a minor inconvince if you miss the little sign ( which is easy to do) that directs you there first. The new office in the campground should be open soon.
They have one bath house that has 4 showers in each side. This also houses the laundrymat. Rember to bring your paperback books to swap in the little make shift library. There is an excellent walking trail that follows the river all the way to the other side of the base. It's about a five mile hike. Retirees are allowed to eat in the base dining hall now. This is also located on the river so you could be dining while watching the dolphins play. There is plenty to do in the area so your time will fly by.

For Manatee Cove Campground: Very nice place to stay. Courteous and helpful personel , big rig accessible laundry and day room this is there hotspot for Internet access. Unfortunately the only place on site for Internet. No pool however beaches nearby. Also no cable but you can pick up Right at 20 channels With digital antenna. Beautiful scenery and very clean. This is definitely a place I would feel proud to suggest. Good job and thank you to the team at Patrick Air Force. We are good Sam elite members and pull travel trailer.
