For Camping on the Gulf: Let me start by saying nice idea and if they didn't have the spots so tight it would be a lot nicer. Very tight and no space to "camp" other than a very limited amount of space. I almost feel like they are more about quantity than quality when it comes to campers. First day when we got there was led to the spot by a guy on a golf cart and backed my class A into our spot once I was backed in he told me that my slide stuck out too far and I may have to move after we slid the slides out he finally okayed us to stay that's how tight the spots are. We originally was scheduled to stay 3 days and decided at check in since they had a couple of spots open on the front row we added them, not knowing and they didn't explain to us that once you pay there are no refunds! On our third day I had an emergency call with my business of an employee that got hurt on the job so I decided to pack up instead of staying the extra two days and leave, once I notified the front office they informed me that I would not get my money back for the two nights that I was not using, I understand one night because I didn't give 24 hours notice but the second night should've been refundable they intern decided instead of a refund they would give me a voucher for my next trip which will be never because of this experience. Now policy or not I understand the rules but they should be explained at the time of check-in. Now all that in consideration the beach is really small and is really cramped the spaces are very small and it is so tight driving in and out small kids and people going to the beach are all over the road and it is very difficult to navigate. Destin is beautiful but there are way better places to stay that are more reasonable and do you give money back if you don't stay.

For Camping on the Gulf: Pricey spots on beach, a few back are cheaper and are still really close. Spots are tight when slides go out they are over the neighbors picnic table. But where else can you camp on beach. Two pools with slides and casting ponds for kids. Bathrooms immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful

For Camping on the Gulf: Love this place. Had a site on the beach. Sites are cramped but where else can you camp ON THE BEACH? Worth the cost. Step out your door onto the white sugar sand. Rest rooms and showers are beautiful. Even have music playing. Nice pool but the who needs it with this beach.

For Camping on the Gulf: Wanted to like this place but couldn't. If you are lucky enough to get a site on the water, go for it, but these are booked for years in advance. Otherwise, waaayyyy overpriced. Do not stay in the sand area unless on the water. Felt very crammed, no privacy whatsoever. Beach access is only 50 or so yards of waterfront.

For Camping on the Gulf: the resort was beautiful. They had all kinds of amenities and activities. Even though it was cold, our family was still able to swim in the enclosed heated pool. They also had a huge fire pit every night to sit around and relax. The staff was so customer oriented and were so kind and accommodating. We will definitely come back!! Thanks to camp gulf for being so generous and giving to tents for troops.
