For Sigsbee RV Park: We were very lucky. We drove in our travel trailer in April 2018 to Sigsbee without a reservation. We didn’t know the rules changed. But, it was a weekday and were able to make a reservation in parking lot. Now you need a reservation for all camping. There were no full service campsites available so we had to dry camp for a week. It’s okay if you have a generator which we did. But forgot to bring our big blue boy. We love Key West and Sigsbee. You will too because it wasn’t crowded like wintertime.

For Sigsbee RV Park: They changed the rules. BEWARE, u MUST HAVE A RESERVATION to now stay here!

Used to be their motto was we never turn anyone away. Today we were turned away from a half full park because we did not have a reservation, something they began less than a month ago!

They told us to call 877-navy beds. We called only to be told they will not make a reservation on a weekend day of arrival or for the next day if it is a weekend day. They also said no availability for the next two weeks. Again, a half full Park! And this IS FOR DRY CAMPING!

The camp host said keep calling back, but after 8 or 9 tries of receiving similar responses or being told their was no availability, we gave up and were fortunate to find the last availIble site at Boyd's for $180 per night!

Reservationists at the 877 number said her hands were tied, it their rules. Camp host said his hands were tied, its their rules.

For Sigsbee RV Park: We love staying in Sigsbee RV Park! Everyone is very friendly and helpful!
If you are thinking of coming here, then there are a few things to be prepared for. Plan to "dry camp". Yes, generators are allowed--0700-2300. Either bring a portable one or get a generator "exhaust" extension for your RV generator to direct the "fumes" away from your neighbor! (Not required but is being courteous)
"Full Hook-ups" are on a "rotation" basis. Everyone "rotates" at Sigsbee. The "Rotation List" is posted daily so, you can "guesstimate" when you will rotate to "Full Hook-ups". "Variables" are length of your RV, handicap. Active Duty not stationed in Key West are able to make reservations. Fairest System I have seen!
Showers and laundry get busy, so be flexible! ?
Camp Hosts are Super! Friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable!
We will be heading there again!
You cannot stay anywhere in the Keys for $14/24 a night!

For Sigsbee RV Park: I'm a tent camper. Had a good tent site right on the water. NEx, Commissary and a small "club" all within walking distance. Bath house laundry is clean, a little worn but serviceable. The long term tents are a bit of an eyesore and seem to be empty except for the weekend.

For Sigsbee RV Park: First do your research before you come here. It is a great place and it is busy. We showed up right before Christmas and we had 90 people in front of us to get full hook ups. That said dry camping is fun. You stay outside and meet a lot of great people. You will need a quiet generator, dump tote, batteries with inverter, and a way to get water. The generators run all day so if noise bothers you this place is not for you. Also the bathrooms can get crowded. So expect to wait for showers and stall time. 3 showers and 2 toilets. The hosts do a great job and we felt everything is fare. There is lots to do and the weather is great.

Conrad

For Sigsbee RV Park: i stayed at Trumbo, near town for two weeks last winter at $13/night. It was a steal of a deal. I would have stayed the entire winter like many do except my dog was about to whelp a litter of puppies. Being close to town is the better option. However Sigsbee has the dog park, BX and commissary, as well as a big car wash for cleaning your rig. People tend to set up extravagant camp sites and stay for long period. Even the renters do this and they are more likely to get ocean front sites. There is a big lot for arrivals near check in, to stay the first night. After that I was moved to a temp site in Trumbo where I would have been happy to stay. They spaced the sites farther apart but later tightened them up as record numbers of people arrived. I has in a truck camper and moved to a smaller permanent spot near a tree and water. You cannot leave a hose hooked up and I never do anyway. I liked it because no one was behind me and I was use to the bridge and convenient places to walk the dogs. It is true generators are used during the day but I didn't find it terrible objectionable at my location near the edge. Also there were two rigs with massive solar arrays and wind generators. I myself have 830 watts of solar--overkill for sunny key west. The shower/bathrooms were nicely tiled and clean. There was never a long wait for using the dump stations. If I stayed longer I'd need a big dump caddy as loading and unload is 20 minutes for each. Many people stay the entire winter. It is important to bring a cheap bike to get around base on Sigsbee and into town at Trumbo. Trumbo is very close to the Community Boating $160/yr. a good deal. I recommend the Hobie Wave Catamarans. Finally, they have never turned anyone away here at the facility. I think that is fantastic. Costs elsewhere can be as high as $160/night with full hookups. $13 without hookups and $23 with hookup (difficult to get) is a bargain. I would not bother with hookup unless it was summertime and they are available then. Winter weather is significantly warmer in Key West than any other place. It is not so warm that generators are running constantly to power air conditioning-- they are used instead to top up batteries.
