For Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort: Amazing holiday decorations by fellow campers. Disney parks were crowded at Christmas, but the lights and amenities at the campground made our trip a pleasure. Definitely disappointed Disney increases the site price so drastically during the holiday season. Transportation to parks via bus and boat are amazing. Pay attention to signs and ask questions if you are new to the system. Staff are all friendly and helpful. No pull-through sites. All are back in. Online ordering of magic bands and doing online check- in helped the ease of our stay. Get the front desk number at of campground at check-in in case of emergency. Grounds are huge. Bus stops are close, but waits can be long. Recommend taking bikes. Disney has golf carts available to rent for $59/day, but all were rented during our stay. Lots of walking/bike trails. Check out free family activities available at the campground during your stay if interested. Horse and boat rentals were also available. Endless activities or just relax like we did. Restaurants, stores, and laundry facilities also available on site. We would definitely return but during a less busy season.

Family Adventures

For Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort: Our family loves Fort Wilderness! We camp here about 4 times a year and always have a blast! Disney does an amazing job with every aspect of this Campground! We believe it's well worth the money!

Pete

For Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort: Many of the preferred sites had a short paved area and was surrounded by a fine pea gravel. Bring a broom! The grit gets everywhere. They let checking in 24/7. We had a large diesel class A Park next to us at 1:30 a.m.! It took them about45 minutes to finally back in with their backup alarm constantly beeping. Then they left their diesel generator run the rest of the night. In the morning I was greeted with diesel fumes. I called and was told that there are no restrictions on arrivals and no restrictions on generators. We have been here several times before and this was an isolated experience.

Workingdog

For Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort: I was disappointed, thinking Disney would get it right. The water bib on my sight leaked like a sieve from the knob. Mosquitos are a major issue after dark, in fact at check in we we given wipes, but I guess spraying each evening is something they had not thought of. Without a golf cart travel internal to Ft. Wildnerness was a long walk, one mile for us to either the boat or bus. There is little to none car parking in the campground outside of your site.

Upon check in we were told the main route through the park was closed because they had had a water line break. As we walked around we found where the road was blocked and a pump was set up and running. In the nine days we stayed in the campground never did we see anyone working to repair the issue and open the road. I felt for sure Disney would have had it back to normal in a day or two at the most.

Nathan

For Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort: Again, another 5 star review, this time from a "3 weeker".
If you're looking for a place to stay for a more reasonable price at the Dis "money machine" you can't go wrong bringing your own lodging to Ft Wilderness. In fact, many off premise area rv resorts cost just about as much for less amenities.
Disney is such a professional and well oiled machine that when our power failed for 6 hours, instead of thinking it an inconvenience, I was entertained that they had experienced an "imperfection" (in fact they left a personalized note at every site, that they were aware of the problem and we're working on it, but don't expect any complimentary compensation 'though, lol)
Disney Ft Wilderness is the gold standard in rv parks
Had friends staying in their cabins and they are 5 star as well

LJGuitar

For Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort: It's Disney World - so everything was top notch.

First rate bathrooms, showers, boat rides to the conference center, and to the "Kingdoms", great bus connections everywhere in the park, and the mono-rail is still maintained and runs on time!

We were there for a week total between a conference and three days of play. What a hoot!!!

Expensive? It's Disney World - so everything was expensive. Worth it, yes, it was
