For Cobb NF Hunt Camp: While traveling from Eastern FL to Gulf Shires, we needed a place to stat a night. The camp ground in this area was booked full, so we decided to boondock.
We drove about a mile on a washboard dirt road at 10 mph. Pulled into a driveway that looked fine. We got out and walked around looking for the best spot. There were a couple other RVs there, tents, and people in their cars. We assumed these people were vagrants, living very inexpensively.
One camp site was very littered with junk, garbage etc. We were grateful that the perpetrators never showed up.
We were a little creeped out from that site and the Beware of Bear signs but we never saw one.
All in all this was a pretty good spot. We ran our inverter generator for awhile without bothering anyone.
At the camp ground, we filled our fresh water tank and then dumped there the next day. All this for free!!!
