For Puc Buggy - Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park: Spacious sites in a beautiful wooded area. All tent sites are walk-in and thus not suitable for smaller VanCampers and Pop-Ups.

For Puc Buggy - Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park: Beautiful wooded park, hiking and biking trails. Campground loop w plenty of shade. Sites are mostly private with vegetation, level, and some have stones that might damage ground mats. After hurricane Irma, storm cleanup progressed well enough. Bathhouses well maintained and clean, could use better ventilation. Prairie viewing tower was closed for storm-blown tree removal. If wind is westerly, I75 can be heard.

For Puc Buggy - Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park: Bring your bike. It is 2 miles from the camp site to the visitor center. Real nice ride though. And then there are the other bike trails. Tons of trails. We went biking out in the prairy and saw wild horses and turkeys. The horses came right up to us. There were three turkey families with lots of babies. And then there was the HUGE alligator that took an interest in us as we went by. He did not get out of the water but it scared the wife. Over all, a great biking and nature area. Loved it.
