For Collier-Seminole State Park: Alright I have to correct the idea that the mosquitoes are bad here. We are here in Jan and they are not bad. Yes, they are here but no worst than anywhere that has water. Remember, this is the Everglades. This is an excellent park with lots of amenities. And 10 minutes to Marco Island beaches. I highly recommend this park! Oh I think we paid $30 a night.

ClassB

For Collier-Seminole State Park: Swarms of mosquitos came out at dusk. Very clean and well appointed bathrooms, dump site. Open layout. Site was 50’ from busy highway 41. Good location to shopping and eateries. Decides to leave our 3 night reservation after first night due to bloodthirsty mosquitos.

Cato

For Collier-Seminole State Park: Great location but everyone is packed into a small space. Little to no privacy here. Sites well maintained and bathhouse was clean. Marsh trail nearby is great for birds in winter.

Sabbatical

For Collier-Seminole State Park: Great location for exploring area: northern Everglades, Big Cypress, And Marco Island. Various hiking and canoe trails are nearby. Sites are close but more room than commercial RV parks. A little road noise but not enough to disturb sleep. Very friendly hosts, volunteers, and rangers. Avoid sites 62 and 63 which get very soggy when it rains. Be prepared for mosquitoes. Take the canoe trip run by volunteers!

Kypat

For Collier-Seminole State Park: Very tight spaces. No privacy. My site was about 25 feet from a busy highway.

Biggie Bus

For Collier-Seminole State Park: Very pretty area. The sites are a little tight, but mostly friendly people - and pretty quiet.
Camp hosts Bill and wife were amazingly helpful. Rangers are great.
Overall, great place for some short term relaxing. Take the canoe trip!

Mary S

For Collier-Seminole State Park: Rangers and camp hosts were super friendly. Many sites are parking spaces surrounded on one or two sides by other parking spaces, with no space or privacy between spaces. I camped in one of these parking space sites for one night. The campground was very active, with more kids and families than other campgrounds I'd stayed at in the area. Shower was hot and nice (asked and was told shower in the clubhouse was nicest). Spotty Verizon service.
