For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: Had site 46. Close to beach and bath house. Bath house extremely clean. WiFi worked nice! Shady sites with large trees. Gravel roads wide cement pads for RVs. Lots to do on base and off base. Naval Aviation Museum awesome. National Cemetery dates back to Spanish American War. Three Medal of Honor recipients. Not a lot of grass if have dogs.
Would return in future,

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: I’m perplexed with this campground. It’s not very clean, they don’t don’t care of it, trees need to be trimmed, the grass could be mowed, and they could blow and pick up the debris to make the park look nice.. My neighbor on the good side said they used to be better at it.
My neighbor on the other side is weird and I’m finding that people live here. They say that they can only stay three months at a time, but from the looks of it, people have a lot of crap to their sites to pack up every three months..
We are leaving three nights early to go find something a little better.
The beach is nice I do have to say. But only went once, and the base has a lot of amenities. Golf etc..

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: very nice and clean park. staff was great. one of only a few parks that recyle. plenty of space between cites. only down side is you are away from most shopping and really need the extra vehicle.

Wayne Haines
For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: One of the absolute best Military RV parks. All sites are on 20 by 40 foot concrete slab with full hookups. Extremely friendly staff, bath house is kept very clean. The Oak Grove Park does not have a physical address the one used 190 Radford Blvd will take you to the middle of the base, no where near the RV park. Use 2081 Radford Blvd, this is the address for the Light House. Oak Grove RV park will be .5 miles West on Radford Blvd.

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: First time staying at a MWR campsite. If they're anywhere as good as this one we will be spending more time looking for them. Weekend hostess was friendly and helpfull. One great weekend.

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: This campground was fantastic. We traveled from Oklahoma to SC and stayed at military campgrounds all along the way. This one was by far the best! The staff was beyond helpful and super accommodating. The bathrooms are big and very clean. There are a lot of other campers so the grounds feel very safe. Our site was 100 yds from the bay. No swimming but fishing and wading. The National Naval Aviation Museum is less than 5 minutes away. We would come back here for sure! Five stars!
