For Hillsborough River State Park: Nice park. Pool closed until summer 2023. Sites are pretty spacious and extremely shaded. It should be he’s to get satellite here. Nice trails. ATT was fair. Bike and Kayak rentals. Washer and dryer at shower house (didn’t use either). Kayak launch in campground and by rental shop.

For Hillsborough River State Park: Wonderful older campground. Sites are spacious and level. Bathhouse is clean and well maintained. Liked it so well we stayed additional nights. Will come again.

For Hillsborough River State Park: Great campsite with very level sites. Lots of room, baths were old but clean. Was a little muggy and humid when we were there but that’s because it was September in Florida.

Donald Chamberlain

For Hillsborough River State Park: Was fine for an overnight and cleaning up after nearly 5 months away. We were returning home the next day. A bit old but the site was level but a bit close on one side.

For Hillsborough River State Park: This is a great place to stay. There are wonderful trails - great for hikes or bikes! River is good for relaxed Kayaking / canoeing.
Only issue is with other campers. PLEASE do not play your radio / TV all day. If you go camping to listen to a radio all day and then the TV all night and morning - you are doing something terribly wrong. If it is loud enough to be heard from other sites - it is way too loud.
Anyway - thanks to bad campers for taking away the whole point of being in nature. It is really rude.
But I will be back - just try to avoid weekends.

WildwoodCorgis

For Hillsborough River State Park: Lovely, historic CCC park! So nice to see a CCC park retaining most of its original beauty! Site was water & 50 amp only, but for 1 night that was fine. Gravel sites, road in & out is a bit narrow so take your time. But the price is right, the setting is beautiful including the nearby Hillsborough River with rapids and wildlife and a Suspension Bridge!! No WiFi, AT&T 1-2 bars, Verizon 3 bars.
We will surely stay here again.

DaVida

For Hillsborough River State Park: Beautiful setting among oaks, cypress, palms. Dated, but clean bathhouse with dishwashing sinks, plenty of hot water. Trails along the river are close enough to observe turtles, snakes, alligators, herons. Knowledgeable rangers are helpful. Check site length before choosing; some are short.
