For Georgia Veterans State Park: We just pulled in and are enjoying our campsite right on the lake with the fishing, herons and egrets. You can make reservations but you selectt your site after you get here so come early on busy days. But do not trust your GPS, main entrance is on Rt 280. Go to the visitors center to pick up your pass.

For Georgia Veterans State Park: First time staying in a Georgia State Park. Will stay at this site anytime I'm in this area. Have stayed in other state parks along with federal parks. Other than the bugs during the day this is by far the best. The workers here are great. The camp ground area is clean.

For Georgia Veterans State Park: Spots are first come first serve. Some spots are wonderful others just ok. Has very nice model aircraft field. Locals come thursday afternoon to claim a spot so if you have a big rig and need big spot come earlier in the week to claim spot. If you come late Friday you will get poor spot. Park is nicest with in 50 miles of perry ga.
