For Skidaway Island State Park: We stayed here 3 nights in July. We were in site 71, 50 amp, 40# water pressure, 2 spigots. The campground is very open so you can see most of your neighbors. However, the sites are very large so there is some privacy. The campground is under a huge live oak hammock with little understory giving a very picturesque setting. All sites have raised platforms for the table and a tent. The main roads are very wide and the secondary roads are passable for the largest rv's. The 2 main hikes are very nice and wildlife is abundant. We did have an issue with chiggers. I don't know where we picked them up, in the campground or the hikes, but both my wife and I are covered in them so beware. Other than the chiggers, this is a super great campground with good staff. We washed clothes in a newer speed queen washer/dryer with a very reasonable $1.25 per machine. Much of the park has recently been updated. There is very little to dislike about this place except the chiggers.

Family Adventures
For Skidaway Island State Park: Great campground! We stayed 5 nights here while exploring Savannah and really enjoyed our stay. The sites are big pull throughs with plenty of space between neighbors. Great nature trails also. We will be back for sure!

For Skidaway Island State Park: Nice enough park, big sites, clean enough-sand sites-no sewer hookups offered to us, yet they were available. TV cable service inoperative.
Seriously overpriced-$44 per night-no sewer-for 2 over 65 Fla residents-no sewer-no cable-no shuttle in a 25' motorhome. Long way from Savannah or any restaurants-

For Skidaway Island State Park: It's a very nice State camp ground. Lots of room at each camp site. Clean bath room and friendly staff. No internet. I would recommend and would return.

For Skidaway Island State Park: A very nice park. There are bike trails but not as many as I would normally like. We went through them in 30 minutes flat. The facilities are very nice. Lots of space and pull through's. It was pricy to stay here but we had the friends and family card from Georgia so we saved 10 percent. Very clean showers and lots of laundry facilities.
