For McIntosh Lake Campground: A very nice little campground. Very close to I 95. We were met by the owner in the drive and taken to our pull through campsite overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend.

For McIntosh Lake Campground: We only were stopping overnight, but what a nice little campground. We were met by the owner as we pulled in the drive and he led us to a nice site with a great view of a pretty little lake. We had told him we didn't want to unhook our 25 foot AirStream, so he made sure our site was big enough that we didn't have to.
The owners were very friendly, the park was clean, and the bathrooms were spotless. There was a small amount of road noise since you are not far from I-95. But not enough that you couldn't hear the crickets and frogs in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

For McIntosh Lake Campground: What a wonderful find! I pulled in to check it out without a reservation and they found a seldom-used, partially shaded, electric/water site for me that became home for three weeks over Thanksgiving. The owners, Leah and Trey, are real, honest, warm-hearted folks who'll do just about anything for their campers. For me, that meant helping get a picnic table to the site (the site is very seldom-used), purchasing a fire pit for me when another couldn't be found, providing free firewood, receiving packages, recommending restaurants (head to Speed's in Shellman Bluff!) and hosting a Thanksgiving potluck dinner where they brought the turkey, ham, dressing, and mashed potatoes, while 30 or so friendly campers brought sides and desserts. The bath house is clean and in great working order, the grounds are well-maintained grass and sand, and the social hall has a full kitchen you can use in a pinch. Wi-fi works well during the day and even into the evening when folks get their Netflix fix. AT&T LTE coverage is fine. The road noise may take a minute to adjust to, but most sites are set back further from the road than mine so they'll be quieter. You're 45 minutes from a day in Savannah, 35 minutes from the Jesup Drive-in, and 25 minutes from Brunswick, with all the beautiful islands and nature preserves nearby. It's a steal!
