For Hitchcock County Nature Center: Great stay! The campground was nice, showers clean, the host and park ranger were super friendly. The only negative was the mosquitos. They were awful. Make sure you take citronella candles!

For Hitchcock County Nature Center: Noie little campground located in a beautiful nature park. Only issue we had was on departure. If you are wanting to head north on I-29, navigators will route you onto Old Lincoln Highway. Before you can get onto I-29 at Lincoln, you have to pass under a 11'-1" overpass. This forced us to go further north along Loess Hills Road, where we encountered a 12'-6" overpass, which we barely fit under. Finally got onto I-29 at Missouri Valley. Bottom line: if low clearance is an issue in your RV, approach and depart this campground from the south.

For Hitchcock County Nature Center: Beautiful location in the Loess Hills. Did tent camping. Plenty of parking. Tent camping pads are down a very steep hill away from the parking area. Toilets are by the parking. That means that a trip to the toilet from the tent area requires a climb. And all that gets packed down to your site has to be packed up the hill. There are very nice showers in the RV area. Wood is available for purchase from the campground host. You may not be as lucky, but he packed the wood in his ATV and drove it down the hill for us. Lot of nice renovations being done in early 2017. Great hiking. Very quiet, although you can hear a train in the distance and farm equipment in season. LOVE IT.
