For Rock Creek State Park: It’s a 4 star view and the campsite assignment needs some work. The online reservation page showed every site open. When I got there I had to take a very small walk up site. But the view and lake are wonderful. Upkeep looked good.

For Rock Creek State Park: The campground has two huge areas; one with electric/RV spots. There were many sites that were right on the lake. The RV area is laid out on a hill. It had a very nice showerhouse and playground equipment. The sites seemed awfully close to each other and there is zero privacy. The tent area is separate. I was surprised by how many tent sites there were. None of them had any privacy. The tent area was totally over run with geese/ducks. The road was covered with droppings. I realize the campground can't do much about that. The birds went there because the tent area was totally deserted. The tenters always get a small toilet house. Some of the tent sites were on the lake and might have been nice. What puzzled me is that the majority of sites all had reservation forms on the posts. Getting out of the vehicle to inspect, some were old.. and some were for the next weekend. It's a pain in the a** to have to get out to look at them all. I went to check with the campground host to see if there was a list (the list in the registration kiosk was out of date). Nobody home. I drove on

For Rock Creek State Park: Camped here starting Monday,Labor Day just as camp was clearing out. Dumpsters were overflowing and it took two days for garbage truck. Hosts were not available or off duty. During the Memorial Day weekend all sites were filled. General impression is that there are budget cuts and upkeep suffers. They are getting help from a nearby correctional facility and these men were doing a great job.

For Rock Creek State Park: Confusing check in but really nice park. No leveled spots for RV's. Boats for rent. Beautiful and well cared for surroundings . Walking trails. Quiet mid-week.

For Rock Creek State Park: If you have a large RV and lots of kids, this is the place for you. We were in a Class B, didn't like all the lights and noise until late in the evening. Many spots are far from level, making levelling difficult. Hand dryers didn't work in the rest room building. Late Saturday afternoon, the main restroom/shower building was closed due to "Plumbing Problems". Still closed Sunday morning. Water doesn't stay on in the sinks, you have to keep pressing the button.
Shower was okay, good temperature, mediocre pressure.
