For Wilson Island State Recreation Area: Stayed at Wilson Island for one night on a road trip west. The park had recently been closed to do some updating I believe. They added modern bathrooms and showers. For being (literally) brand new, the showers were not very clean. Not sure whose job it is to clean them, but it hadn't been done for a while. Disappointed in that. Otherwise we were almost completed alone in the entire park. Guessing people didn't know it was open again. The camp host was parked quite a ways away, but I don't think they were there at all. We saw NO ONE the whole time we were there. All in all not a bad site. LOTS a of bugs, but at the same time, lots of animal life too. Very quiet (I suppose it was because we were the solitary occupants!).
