For Whispering Oaks RV Park: I am very disappointed with this RV park. Mostly by the guy working in office. Not sure if he is manager, owner or what. First off I called a week prior to arrival. He answered the phone and asked me to call back and leave the details as he was busy at the moment. I called back and left details. He did not return call so I called back 2 additional times. No call back. 1st mistake- ASSUMING he made the reservation. We got here and he acted like oh well. He said he was very busy with phone calls. Also lots of "workers" from area living here and pretty full. He took our money THEN told us it had no sewer hook up. No map of the grounds just directions 2 rights and on left. So we dumped at dump station which clogged up and overflowed. Had to call mgr over to clear. It was next to the garbage dumpster which was also over flowing. Yes it rains here but the "gravel" sites are actually MUD holes. Heard a Storm warning siren and asked him what it meant. He said no big deal weather is fine. no explanation to us as what to expect or where to go. Had to ask where shelter was. Our site has a fire ring but it is filled with trash from previous campers. Finally accepted our site, and went to bed to wake the next morning almost flooded out and it did not even rain. Mens shower room had standing water. Laundry room has 5 washers, 4 working and only 2 dryers. Laundry room had a bad, bad smell to it. 2 star rating due to it being very green. I would NOT stay here again. The mgr could of made it much better with some communication and understanding of what RVers need and expect. I will not stay here again.
