For Canyon Pines RV Resort: I found this campground to exceed the expectations that I had from reading other camper’s reviews, it is a true gem. It’s setting is superb, being right on the Little Salmon River in a picturesque canyon. If you are fortunate to have a back in site you will be backed onto the Little Salmon River and get to enjoy the beauty of the river as well as enjoy the sounds as the rushing water cascades over rocks. The campground is very clean and tidy. The street is asphalt and all sites are lever and graveled. The morning we left the campground host was out spraying weeds in the gravel, and there were not many to begin with. There is a considerable distance between RVs giving you the feeling of spaciousness. I had a pull through site and it was well over 100 feet long. What also makes this campground special is the owner, David Evans. From the day I made the reservation to the morning that we left he was personable and very customer service oriented. Always behind the office counter with a big smile and a hearty welcome. Oh yes, lest I forget David makes a great pizza for a reasonable price and he delivers it to your site. When I tried to give him a gratuity he would not accept it. Classy to say the least! I highly recommend Canyon Pines RV Resort. I camped there in a motorhome.

For Canyon Pines RV Resort: The campground was nice, clean and very quiet. Perfect for an older couple not wanting to do more than rest. Not great for children. They will be bored. A rock slide prevented us from really seeing the surrounding area. River access in Riggins is difficult. River access at the Rv park is bill. You can see it, but it isn’t really accessible. Out of boredom we left earlier than planned. This is more than likely the reason they don’t offer refunds for early pullouts. Really felt oversold on the website marketing.

For Canyon Pines RV Resort: Update to my previous post - This gem on the Little Salmon River just keeps getting better. This week the run-off from the snow capped mountains was high. Plenty of white water during the day, and fresh piping hot Pizza from the campground store in the evening. The owners are always on site ready to make your stay the best. We give this RV Resort 10 stars. And $34 per night is not $$$$. It’s a bargain for what you get.

For Canyon Pines RV Resort: Best campground on the Little Salmon River. Up to 50 amp service with water. Lots of sites back to edge of river. Great little store in the office that will cook and deliver a fresh pizza right to your site. Owners live on site and are super friendly. This RV Park should be listed as $$ instead of $$$$. Well kept grounds and very clean bathrooms and showers.
AllStays Note: As of this date, their website says RV nightly rate is $34 which matches the $$$$ symbol.
