For Camp Lakewood: I was very impressed with the campground. We are in a wooded area that doesn't feel crowded. Staff is friendly and helpful. One the only CG's I have been at that has a Lounge/Bar. Laundry and Bath/Showers are clean modern and spacious. Clean laundry with new machines.
Far enough from highway that road noise is not an issue, but the road in is rough so take it easy, do be surprised by the trailer parks on the way in as they can't be seen from the park ! Will be staying here again!!

For Camp Lakewood: 4 stars because there's always room to improve.
That said.. The staff was helpful & friendly.
The campground is about 3/4 of a mile from the interstate so noise is absolutely at a minimum ðŸ˜
There's a number of chain restaurants nearby and several local Mom & Pop kinda places within a couple of miles.
DO NOT be "turned off" by the way things look as you near the entrance to the park... There are two or three Mobile Home /"Trailer" Parks along the street to the campground but as soon as you enter the Campground you don't have any idea the Trailer Parks are next door.
The only problem we had was that our "leval site" WASN'T... Almost had the 5th wheel roll off the hitch & down the slope! Luckily the trailer's kingpin caught on a ladder in the bed of the truck! But that's not really the Campground's fault. I should have been more aware.
We WILL be back!

For Camp Lakewood: Recently raised fee to $45. Way over priced for gravel parking lot. No cable Dead zone for tv antenna and radio reception. Wifi is iffy. Have stopped here for past 6 yrs on way to and from Florida. Will not be returning!

For Camp Lakewood: Nice small campground. Pretty views of the lake. Nice clean bathhouse and laundry. Will stay again.

For Camp Lakewood: Very nice park, easy to get to from the interstate. Super clean bath/shower. Wooded setting with little noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

For Camp Lakewood: A bit off the path and the road coming in has a few bumps, so take it slow. The owners are super friendly to the point they loaned their personal vehicle to another camper so they did not have to unhook their toad. Sites are a little close, but it is wooded, lots of shade and quiet. Since we were relocating, we had a moving van pulling a trailer which they had us park in their overflow area. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Would stay again.

For Camp Lakewood: Absolutely fabulous! The people are fantastic and everything was great. I had mechanical problems and they were so kind and helpful! I cannot say enough nice things about this place! Super clean and friendly! Offered to drive me and my dog to St Louis! Wonderful!
